The Sunday Street Sweeper is a fun bike to ride in the streets. The freecoaster makes fakie tricks 10x easier. I was impressed how good it felt at the skatepark though. The responsive headtube angle, and steep fork offset gave me control over the bike when I was doing tailwhips. The sprocket felt a little weak and I didn't like the bar pad so I took it off.

The Sunday Street Sweeper is a high-quality BMX bike that weighs 24.97 pounds and costs $829. This BMX bike is Jake Seeley’s signature model and marks the first in Sunday’s lineup to feature a signature frame. In this post, we’ll help you figure out if it’s right for you or not.

Is the Sunday Street Sweeper high quality?

Yes, the Sunday Street Sweeper is a high-quality bike. It has an aftermarket full chromoly frame, full chromoly bars, forks, and strong double wall rims. Because of these strong components, the bike will last longer and withstand more abuse from a heavier rider.

The bike stands out with its aftermarket Sunday Street Sweeper frame, indicating a significant step up in quality over typical full chromoly frames found in models like the Kink Whip or the Cult Devotion.

This difference in frame quality means it’s built to last and withstand the rigors of BMX freestyle, making it an awesome choice for serious riders.

How does the Sunday Street Sweeper look?

This is an interesting looking bike. The Street Sweeper is typically flashy and pink or purple. This years lavender model has a barpad. If you’re a fan of bar pads you will find this a big plus, if not you might hate it.

The Sunday Street Sweeper has a matte lavender colorway and a 20.75-inch top tube, designed specifically for riders between 5 foot 9 and 6 foot. Its design and aesthetics are pretty sick, offering a cool look with a clean option for going brakeless.

I gotta say, its overall style is sick. The matte lavender colorway and the possibility to remove the brakes for a sleek look? Awesome. Plus, it’s not every day you see a BMX bike rocking a bar pad – Jake Seeley’s personal touch here makes it stand out even more.

Is the Sunday Street Sweeper overpriced?

The Sunday Street Sweeper is expensive but I wouldn’t say that it is overpriced. Because of the high quality components and the aftermarket frame, this is a great bike for serious riders and obviously it’s going to be expensive. This bike’s quality and price matches other bikes with a similar price tag.

Given its high-quality aftermarket frame, customizable features, and inclusion of high-quality components like Odyssey quadrant rims and the Odyssey Clutch V2 free coaster, the price tag is justified. It’s a solid investment for those who are serious about BMX freestyle and need a bike that can keep up.

Honest thoughts

Overall, I think the Sunday street sweeper is a great bike. It’s probably the most affordable bike that comes with a real aftermarket frame, making it much better than a lot of the similar price options. To make up for the aftermarket frame, though Sunday did include cheaper tires, cheaper sprocket and cheaper cranks. There’s still decent quality but they’re not aftermarket.

This bike costing under $900 puts it in a weird price point because most people who can afford this bike can also spend another $300 and and get something that’s full chromoly frame, forks, and bars. It’s a good bike and I like that it’s under $1000 with an aftermarket frame. But to know for sure whether or not it’s right for you request a free bike recommendation.
