Is the Sunday Forecaster high quality?
Overall, the Sunday forecaster Park edition is pretty good quality. I wouldn’t say it’s high-quality, but it does have a fair amount of chromoly. If you were to buy this bike, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to upgrade it with some aftermarket parts. But as it comes out of the box, it’s pretty decent.
This frame material is much stronger and more durable than other types, making it better for handling abuse and doing cool tricks without breaking. Sunday says the forecaster will come with the Stage 1 rims or the Sunday lightning rims, depending on availability. The lightning rims are extra thick side wall and the S1 rims are not so I would definitely double check with whoever you buy the bike from before you purchase.
The bike’s parts, like the frame, are designed to last and withstand the rigors of BMX riding, which speaks to its overall quality.
How does the Sunday Forecaster Park look?
The Sunday Forecaster looks sick. It’s got a sleek design, feels sturdy, and comes in several cool colors. It’s not just about how it rides, but also how it looks when you’re doing awesome tricks or just cruising around.
It has a ton of different “options”. But the option you choose doesn’t just affect the color of the bike, it has a ton of other changes. For example, one version of the forecaster might be a 20.75″ toptube in red with a cassette and 2 pc bars, while another might be 21″ in black with a left hand drive hub. I’ll break down all of the different options at the bottom.
Is the Sunday Forecaster Park overpriced?
Kind of. $579 is a lot for a bike that may or may not have single wall rims. The bars are hi-tensile steel instead of chromoly, and the forks are only half chromoly. I like the full chromoly frame and potentially double walled rims, but it’s a really high price.
To give a definitive answer, i’d say yes, the sunday forecaster is overpriced since it’s almost $600 and does not offer full chromoly in the forks and bars. You will be able to find other bikes that are higher quality for the same price.
It’s priced at a premium because it’s a Sunday bike, and you’re paying for the brand as well as the bike. However, it doesn’t have some of the higher-end features like full chromoly forks or double wall rims that you’d expect for the price.

What are the best features of the Sunday Forecaster Park?
The best features include its full chromoly frame, customizable and upgradable parts, and the option to choose between different geometries and color options.
What makes it stand out is the ability to customize it to your riding style and the inclusion of a hub guard on some versions. It’s special because it’s versatile, allowing for a personalized BMX experience.
Sunday Forecaster vs. Forecaster Park
Quality wise, the Sunday forecaster, and the Park version of the Sunday forecaster are identical. The only differences in these two variations are the colors, the geometries, and the brake type. The Sunday forecast to park has a Gyro brake system, it comes in a purple color way, and it has a low stand over height with a steeper headtube angle.
The changes on the Sunday forecast Park edition are designed to make this bike better when riding it in the skate parks. It’s crazy how big of an impact a steeper head to bangle and a smaller stand over height will have on certain tricks. This is a park machine.
Honest thoughts
I recommend the Sunday Forecaster from time to time in my BMX Match Maker service, but not all the time. It’s a nice bike with tons of different options, but the quality to price ratio is a little off. It is expensive for what you are getting. Riders who are true Sunday fans or just need one of the many unique options this bike provides will be perfect for this bike.
To be perfectly blunt, the Forecaster comes at a really high price for the quality and it is a little over priced. There are bikes available with better quality for a lower price. The one thing this bike has going for it is the unique options and the style.
