Is the Kink Whip high quality?

Yes, the Kink Whip is pretty solid. It’s made with a full chromoly frame, full chromoly, forks, full chromoly handlebars, and strong double wall rims. This is the base level quality that I look for to classify a bike as mid-level. Chromoly is about four times stronger than high tensile steel and it’s built to last for serious riders.

Because of the quality of this bike, it can handle more aggressive riding. It can also withstand the weight of heavier riders.

How does the Kink Whip look?

The Kink Whip has a sick matte Moss black colorway in a 20.5-inch top tube size. It’s got a style that feels cool and looks awesome, kinda like it’s ready to hit the streets or parks right out of the box. I’m a fan of the simple clean colorway.

Is the Kink Whip overpriced?

No, the kink whip is actually a pretty good value BMX bike. For a while there the price was increased from $500 up to $549 but after the big BMX boom the prices come back down to $500 making it a really good value bike. Even when it was priced at $549 it was a pretty good value bike but at $500 it just takes the cake. 

For the $500 price tag it is typically really hard to find BMX bikes with full chromoly and double wall rims. 

What are the best features of the Kink Whip?

The full chromoly construction is a major highlight, making it strong and durable. Its double-walled rims can take a beating, and the bike’s overall upgradability means it can grow with you as you progress.

I think this is a great bike for a great price. If you only have $500 to spend on a new BMX bike, the kink whip is definitely one you should consider as long as it’s the correct size for you. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but you can be confident that the parts are gonna last to your level of riding. It’s a good bike to start out on because everything is pretty good and then you can upgrade what you want later on.
