What an exciting week it’s been in the world of BMX. Here’s a quick update on what you might’ve missed:

1. A Legendary Chapter Comes to an End: The illustrious journey of Ben Ward with GT Bicycles is one for the books. Starting as a young enthusiast in 1992, Ben has steered GT Bicycles through some of its most iconic moments. His leadership saw the revival of GT’s BMX program and brought international acclaim to the brand. And now, as this chapter closes, we can’t wait to see where his passion takes him next. His story, though, is far from over. Dive deeper into Ben’s journey with GT and beyond right here.

2. A Golden Moment: Congratulations to Logan Martin for clinching the gold at the 2023 Men’s UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup! Honestly, we aren’t that surprised. The guy’s a machine, consistently pulling off mind-blowing tricks. Though, fewer tailwhips than we expected!

This week, I embarked on a mini challenge during my ride session: nailing the barspin to footjam and footjam tailwhips. You know, sometimes things just click, and sometimes… well, they become a delightful struggle.

Even though both tricks posed their fair share of challenges, guess what? I got them down in under an hour! Want to witness the action? Click on the thumbnail to dive right into the action.

The Results are IN! 📊

Well, BMX Nerds, it seems like many of you have a particular preference when it comes to riding time. A whopping 51% of you said that sunset is your go-to time to ride BMX, even though it’s also the busiest and potentially the most frustrating time of the day. There’s just something about that golden hour, isn’t there?

But the conversations don’t end here. We’ve got a new question up on our YouTube community feed that needs your input! This week’s question is all about safety. Head over and tell us: When you’re riding, what’s one piece of safety gear you can’t live without? Share your thoughts and see what the community is saying. 🛑
