When I first pulled the kink Williams out of the box, I was blown away with how clean the blue color is. I really like this color. After putting it together and riding around on it I could understand why it would be priced at $900. The bike felt great for me. It's a high-quality bike with a 21 inch top tube, which is perfect for my size and my skill level. I'm still not a fan of the kink sever tires. They felt very sluggish and squishy in the skate park. But the four pegs hub guards and free coaster felt amazing when riding Street. These nylon hubs slide really good on ledges and rails and the bike was solid no matter what trick I did.

The Kink Williams is a high-quality BMX bike that weighs 27.5 pounds and costs $899. This bike is Nathan Williams’ signature model, designed primarily for street riding, and boasts full chromoly aftermarket parts. Overall, it’s really high-quality bike for under $1000. Personally, I would’ve liked to see this bike being included with more aftermarket parts but we’ll talk about that a little bit later. Let’s see if the Kink Williams is a good BMX bike for you.

Is the Kink Williams High Quality?

Yes, the Kink Williams is a very high-quality bike. It’s not quite a pro level bike but it’s definitely a high-quality bike. Some of the things that make it high-quality include the aftermarket handlebars and aftermarket forks. It has 48 spline cranks, double wall rims, and a sprocket with a bash guard. Everything included on this bike is high-quality and there’s not very much room for disappointment.

The bike features aftermarket quality in its forks, handlebars, and cranks, which are a step up from standard components. This includes full chromoly forks and cranks, and double-wall rims, making it durable and reliable.

The only area of disappointment would be the frame. It is a full chromoly frame, but marketed as the aftermarket Nathan Williams signature frame. The frame on the Kink Williams is still a good frame, but it doesn’t have the same level of quality control that the aftermarket Kink Williams frame has.

How Does the Kink Williams Look?

The Kink Williams sports a sleek, trans matte Forge blue finish, giving it a unique and cool vibe. The overall design and aftermarket parts, like the cinema CK pedals and cinema Williams 2.5 inch tires, contribute to a style that’s both functional and eye-catching. It’s like having a custom ride straight out of the box, making you stand out in the urban jungle.

I’m seriously digging this look. It’s got a vibe that says, “I’m here to shred,” and doesn’t scream trying too hard. It’s the perfect mix of performance and style.

Is the Kink Williams Overpriced?

No, I don’t think the Kink Williams is overpriced. If you do your research on this bike and think that the frame is an aftermarket Williams frame. It might seem like a crazy good deal. When you realize that it’s not the aftermarket Williams frame, it starts to make sense why the bike is priced at $899. Bikes at this price point will include a few aftermarket quality parts, but it won’t be pro level.

The value of this bike is really good but it’s at this weird price point. Similar to the king cloud you can spend a couple hundred dollars more and get a bike that’s about five times better or spend a little bit less and get a bike that’s just a little lower quality. You’ll have to decide if you want to spend $900 for this high-quality bike, or if you want to spend another $300 to get some pro level.

While it may seem steep at first glance, the inclusion of full chromoly parts, aftermarket handlebars, and cinema series components justifies the cost. It’s a solid deal, especially when you consider the durability and performance you’re getting.

What Are the Best Features of the Kink Williams?

The Kink Williams shines with its full chromoly construction, aftermarket parts like the cinema CK pedals, cinema beta guard sprocket, and cinema ZX hubs, as well as its stylish design and solid build for street riding.

Honest Thoughts

I think the Kink Williams is a good bike. I don’t recommend it very often because most people who have a $900 budget also have a $1300 budget and they can afford something like the Sunday soundwave or one of the high-quality Fly BMX bikes. Again, I’m not saying that the Williams is a bad bike or that I don’t recommend it. It’s just in a weird spot where it doesn’t really fill a need in the market. For the few people who have a budget under $1000 and they want to get the highest quality bike possible this is a great bike. You may have to replace the frame in a few years since it is not aftermarket quality but everything else on this bike is gonna last a long time. When this bike was up around $1000 it was a little bit overpriced but now that the price is back down to $899I it’s definitely a good deal.

That said, the Williams holds its own with its unique blend of style, performance, and quality. It’s not for everyone, especially if you’re looking for the absolute best in aftermarket quality, but it’s a fine choice for those who love Nathan Williams’ style and need a bike that matches their street riding ambitions.
