I feel like i got ripped off with the Sunday Scout. I put it together only to find that the quality is IDENTICAL to the Sunday Primer, but for $50 more. There wasn't anything special about this bike. It felt fine riding street even though I had to purchase the pegs separately. But for the extra $50 i would have liked to feel a little better about my purchase. The bike felt heavy and slow in the bowl.

PROS:
Cool colors
CONS:
Over priced
single wall rims
mostly hi-tensile steel
The Sunday Scout is a low-quality BMX bike that weighs 26.8 pounds and costs $499. Despite a slight price drop from its previous model, this bike struggles to justify its cost with quality. I don’t like this bike but in this post, we’ll dive deep to help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
No, the Sunday Scout is a low quality bmx bike made from hi-tensile steel and single wall rims. There are virtually no aftermarket parts on this bike. The only thing it has going for it is a chromoly down tube. Sadly, this doesn’t really matter since the rest of the bike is weak hi-tensile steel.
The bike’s limited use of chromoly in its construction fails to provide the durability and strength expected at this price point, making it less than ideal for serious riders.
How does the Sunday Scout look?
The Sunday Scout offers a range of cool colors, including hot pink, sage green, matte mustard, and matte black. Its style is pretty decent, with a modern BMX aesthetic that might appeal to some riders. I think it’s a nice looking bike and i like the color choices.
However, when it comes to overall appearance and feel, I gotta say, it’s just okay. The looks are not enough to make up for the quality and price issues.
Is the Sunday Scout overpriced?
Yes, 100%, absolutely. If i went to Dan’s Comp with $500, i could find 15 bmx bikes that are higher quality than the Sunday Scout. I have no idea why it is listed for $500. Totally overpriced.
Considering its build and the quality of materials used, there are better options available in the market for the same or even less money. It doesn’t make sense to overpay for something that doesn’t deliver on quality.

What are the best features of the Sunday Scout?
One of the few positives is the bike’s weight and the variety of color options. It’s also fully upgradable and customizable, which is a plus for those looking to personalize their ride.
What makes it stand out? Honestly, not much. It’s hard to find unique features that justify its price, especially when compared to other models in the same range.

Honest thoughts
I gotta be straight with you; the Sunday Scout isn’t worth it. With better options like the Sunday Forecaster or the Kink Gap available for a similar or slightly higher price, it just doesn’t make sense to go for the Scout. You could buy it, and it will ride fine and roll fine. But you will find yourself replacing the parts after a few failed trick attempts.
It’s important to buy a bike that does what you need and will hold up to your level of riding, and the Scout doesnt do that for anyone.
The main deal-breakers are its overpriced tag and the use of low-quality materials. You can get much better value elsewhere. So, if you’re in the market for a new BMX, I’d recommend looking at other options.
